In the far west of Cornwall facing north are granite cliffs from which you can see Lands End. There you can see the mine workings that are Levant but more you can wander down the paths as the sea below you crashes and boils. The video that is playing to the left are the waves at Levant in September 2014. Mesmeric and powerful.
Trebah gardens in Cornwall in spring is one of the truly amazing Gardens of England. It is a lush valley with semi tropical planting leading down to the river Fal.
has the most amazing stream planting I have ever seen. When you eventually meander past the giant bamboos and the vast hydrangea planting, not forgetting the loch ness monster you arrive at a glorious shingle beach from where you can bathe in the crystal waters of the Fal which by September are warm enough to float for hours. Then you can enjoy your refreshments at the beach side cafe which is named after Donald Healey who once owned the place and created the iconic Austih Healey 3 litre sportscar - the big Healey. We went for 4 whole days in 2014. The movie below is a short homage.
