We bought the battle bus in October 2002. It seemed amazing value for money when we bought it. But then I found out how outrageously expesnive it could be. It needed a lot of work doing to repair it – the garages we took it to knew we were naive and charged us accordingly.
We used it a few times. I recall travelling down to an award ceremony on my own in the bus and feeling slghtly sick, there were no windows worth talking about and it was claustrophobic. The bus travelled around in circles around the ceremony and caused quite a stir. We also used it outside Edinburgh Castle where it looked amazing. After a while, we ceased to use it at all and sold it at a huge loss.
