There are so many videos that I’ve made that to fit them all on to a single page was just too much. So the saga continues here.
In December 2017 they decided they would resurface Longwood Road at night. The manpower and machinery they used was epic as these videos show.
These are some aerial videos taken using the new (well it was new then) quadcopter DJI Phantom Vision 2 – taking off and landing in our garden..
I empty the small pond in 2018. The timelapse video is speeded up between 200 and 6,000 per cent.
We had the main pond refurbished extensively in 2017.
Snow in January 2018
I wanted to explore stop motion video – some things freeze and some don’t.
Getting figs which are edible in the UK is challenging. You need a fig tree with restricted roots in full sun that is in a well drained, fully watered spot. When you do succeed the figs are way better than any you have ever tasted in a shop. The fig tree looks great and exotic as well.
I do like a good timelapse and here are a couple from 2017.
After my experiences with a chain saw – you can see my page here – I was fascinated to watch when a tree surgeon suddenly popped up in a tree in a garden next door. I was filming from our bedroom so he must have been working some 5 – 7 metres in the air – standing on the tree he was cutting. My chain saw seller emphasised that you should always keep 2 hands on your chains saw for safety – which kind of means you need 3 hands – one to hold onto the tree and two to hold on to the chain saw. There is something poetic in the way this guy moves with the saws, swaying with the tree. I bet he can’t buy life insurance cheaply.
