Rodney’s Pillar
Rodney’s Pillar is, as the name suggests, a pillar on top of a very large hill Breidden Hill. The hill is an extinct volcano which sits between Oswestry and Welshpool. It gives wonderful views over the local countryside. I went in May 2021.
Churnet Valley
The Churnet Valley Railway is some 5.5 miles of track near Stoke On Trent run by volunteers. We caught one of their steam trains in May.
